Wannan binciken wani ɓangare ne na ISC Tsarin Kimiyya na gaba aikin, wani shiri na shekaru da yawa wanda aka dauki nauyinsa daga Cibiyar Nazarin Ci gaban Ƙasashen Duniya (IDRC) wanda ke bincika yadda fasahohin zamani ke sake fasalin tsarin kimiyya, tare da mai da hankali kan Kudancin Duniya. Aikin ya haɗu da masana kimiyya, masu tsara manufofin kimiyya, hukumomin ba da kuɗi, da masu ruwa da tsaki a masana'antu daga ko'ina cikin hanyar sadarwa ta duniya ta ISC don bincika yadda waɗannan fasahohin ke canza yadda ake gudanar da kimiyya, ba da kuɗi, da kuma yadda ake tafiyar da ita, da kuma abin da wannan ke nufi ga kimiyya a matsayin amfanin jama'a na duniya.

Wannan binciken yana ɗaya daga cikin manyan hanyoyin da aikin Kimiyyar Tsarin Zamani ke tattara ra'ayoyi daga ko'ina cikin al'ummar kimiyya ta duniya. A buɗe yake ga dukkan Membobin ISC da hanyoyin sadarwarsu, da kuma duk wanda ke aiki a ko tare da tsarin kimiyya a Kudancin Duniya.

A duk faɗin waɗannan fannoni, binciken ya yi tambaya game da tasirin da ake gani a yanzu da kuma wanda ake tsammani ga tsarin kimiyya, shingayen da ke hana samun nasara, haɗin gwiwa tsakanin gwamnati da masu zaman kansu, da ƙalubalen ɗabi'a da shugabanci. Yana ɗaukar kimanin mintuna 10-15 don kammalawa.
